From the Gridiron to the Grill

Mark “Mighty Mouse” McMillian’s journey began as a standout high school sprinter before becoming an All-American at Glendale Junior College. His talent earned him a football scholarship to the University of Alabama, where he made history by setting the school record for the longest interception return for a touchdown.

Drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 10th round, McMillian quickly made his mark in the NFL, earning a spot on the All-Madden Team as a rookie. He went on to play for several teams, with one of his most memorable seasons coming in 1997 with the Kansas City Chiefs. That year, he tied for the NFL lead with 8 interceptions, returned 3 for touchdowns, and earned the nickname “Mighty Mouse” for his fearless play and electric speed.

McMillian completed his eight-year NFL career with the Washington Redskins. After football, he brought his competitive spirit to the culinary world as a contestant on Gordon Ramsay’s Next Level Chef.

Today, Mark resides in Las Vegas and continues to make an impact through youth-focused programs that inspire and uplift the next generation. Through Grillin’ McMillian, a portion of net profits is donated to support his charitable programs, The Lift Up Program™ and Camp 29, helping provide youth with mentorship, leadership, anti-bullying education, athletic development, and positive opportunities to grow both on and off the field.
